A musical encounter inspired by the Doors
The paths of these four passionate musicians crossed for the first time on the occasion of a personal and festive event: the wedding of Adrien Tramu, an accomplished guitarist. This moment of conviviality became the starting point for a wonderful musical adventure. Driven by a shared passion for the rich, haunting sounds of the '60s, and in particular the music of the Doors, the four artists decided to form a tribute band to the legendary Californian quartet.
Like the Doors themselves, their band is the fruit of a daring marriage of rock and jazz. This free yet structured blend of styles reflects their desire to revive the timeless spirit of the era, while injecting their own artistic sensibility.
The group is made up of musicians with richly varied backgrounds. At the helm is Phil Grandmougin, charismatic singer and frontman of French rock band Mallory, renowned for his original compositions. He infuses the group with powerful stage energy and a deep voice in the tradition of Jim Morrison.
At his side, Damien Million, talented pianist and director of the Un Million de Musiques music school in Vincennes, brings his harmonic finesse and technical mastery. His pedagogical experience reinforces the group's cohesion.
Julien Francomano, a versatile drummer with a background in jazz and rock, enriches the band with his extensive rhythmic palette, moving with ease from hushed ambiences to more explosive flights of fancy. His instinctive musicality creates a real rhythmic foundation on which the other instruments build.
Last but not least, Adrien Tramu, guitarist with the group Nerves - who made his name on the TV show Le Fou du Roi in 2004 - completes the line-up. His guitar playing, nourished by years of jazz practice, gives a unique color to the tracks, combining fidelity to the spirit of the Doors with inspired personal touches.
This encounter has given rise to a great musical complicity, a natural alchemy in which each member finds his or her place. Together, they rekindle the flame of psychedelic rock while celebrating the legacy of a cult band. Their project is more than just a cover version: it's a living, sensitive and vibrant tribute to the world of The Doors.
